This article is only valid for older ARES Commander versions up to 2016 and the activation via a product key. From ARES Commander 2017 we used the activation via the customer web portal and with a permission key.

This message is expected if you have entered your product key (length 27 characters) instead of the license key.

It describes the 30 days trial activation. Please follow the description and select in the version type request dialog the option "Full version" and enter your product key.
