Support for Windows 10 S (April 2018)

Note: This article is now outdated. Subsequent ARES releases are supported under Win10 S.

Our CAD Desktop applications don't support Windows 10 S released in April2018 by Microsoft, yet, due to the discrepancy/timing of release dates (caused by the locked down date of release version of Windows10 S). On this system you can only install and start applications from the Microsoft Store - Windows 10 S does not handle any other executable programs (exe, msi etc.).

To overcome this problem, you must switch off the S Mode of Windows 10 by upgrading to Windows 10 Home or Pro.
