A personal hotspot lets you share your phone’s cellular data with other devices like laptops, tablets, or other phones.
On iPhone (iOS)
Open Settings.
Tap Personal Hotspot.
Toggle on Allow Others to Join.
Set a strong password in Wi-Fi Password.
On your other device, open Wi-Fi settings, select your iPhone's name, and enter the password.
On Android
Open Settings.
Tap Network & internet or Connections.
Select Hotspot & tethering.
Tap Wi-Fi hotspot and turn it on.
Check or edit your Hotspot password.
On your other device, connect to your phone's network using the password provided.
