1. Introduction
Pages and Page Groups are responsible for defining the entire project structure in ARES Electrical.
They are automatically managed by the application and play a fundamental role in organizing electrical projects in a clear, consistent, and scalable way.
Users can insert, remove, copy, paste, and edit pages and page groups, making daily project development more efficient, intuitive, and easier to maintain.

2.3 Copying, Cutting, and Pasting Pages
Pages can also be reorganized using standard editing operations:

These options are available:
Through the right-click context menu
Through the Ribbon, in the Pages tab
This allows pages to be moved or duplicated within the same Page Group or into different Page Groups.

3. Page Properties
Each page in the project has its own unique properties.
To edit page properties:
Right-click on a page.
Open the Properties option.
Here, you can define information such as:
Page name
Revision Fields
If the page contains blocks with attributes linked to these properties, the values are automatically displayed in the graphics area.

4. Understanding Page Groups
Page Groups allow better organization of large and complex projects.
They are typically used to separate project sections such as:
Cover pages
Index pages
Symbology or reference pages
Power schematics
Control schematics
Mechanical layout and panel arrangement
Project documentation and bills of materials
Each of these sections can be defined as a separate Page Group.

5. Creating and Managing Page Groups
To insert a new Page Group:
Right-click in the project structure or use the Ribbon.
Select Insert Groups...
Choose the type of Page Group to be added.
Just like pages, Page Groups support several operations through the right-click menu.

5.1 Page Group Properties
Page Groups also have properties that apply to all pages inside the group.
When properties are filled at the Page Group level:
All pages created within the group
Or later added to the group
will automatically inherit the same information.
This ensures consistency across the project.

6. Special Page Groups
ARES Electrical includes special Page Groups that contain additional blocks and automated behavior.
Examples include:
Cover Page Group – includes an additional cover block
Index Page Group – automatically generates a page list using page names by default
Symbology Page Group – creates symbol reference sheet
These groups help automate common documentation tasks.

7. Organizing and Reorganizing the Project Structure
The project structure can be reorganized at any time:
Based on the insertion order
Based on the description
Based on numbering rules defined for pages and groups
This flexibility allows projects to evolve naturally without losing structure.
8. Global Properties and Property Automation
To simplify the filling of properties across pages and page groups, ARES Electrical provides Global Properties.
Global Properties allow users to:
Define shared information once
Automatically apply it to multiple pages and groups
Export and reuse these properties when creating new projects
Some Page Group attributes can be directly linked to these Global Properties.

8.1 Accessing Global Properties
The Global Properties menu is located at:
📖INFO: Project tab → Project section → Properties…
From there, users can:
Import data from project
Export data to project
Maintain consistency across multiple projects
