Build No. 26.3.1.4146 (SP3) - Release 22/01/2026
Below you can find the main fixes and new improvements on ARES Mechanical 2026 SP3:
Support for Mechanical 2022 DWG format:
ARES Mechanical now supports reading and modifying mechanical data in drawings saved in the DWG 2022 file format.
New Welding symbol standard revisions are now fully supported (ISO 2019 and JIS 2016), allowing users to work with newer DWG files while preserving mechanical intelligence and compatibility.
AM_AUTOCONSTLINES:
Automatically create vertical and/or horizontal construction lines at the endpoints of selected entities such as lines, polylines, and circles.
The command intelligently generates construction lines only at the outermost X and Y extents of the selection, avoiding overlapping or redundant construction lines.
Commands for Drawing Centerlines and Centercrosses:
ARES Mechanical introduces a comprehensive set of commands for creating and editing centerlines and centercrosses.
These commands support multiple creation workflows such as centerlines between lines, centercrosses in holes, corners, plates, full circles, and angular distributions, while automatically applying drafting-standard–based layers, line types, overshoots, and scaling behavior.
Scale:
Simplenote entities remain correctly positioned when rescaling in AM_FRAME and AM_EDITFRAME. [AM-2655]
Mechanical annotations rescale correctly when changing the drawing frame. [AM-4575]
The AMSYMSCALE system variable was not ignored in Paper Space. This issue was fixed, ensuring consistent scaling. [AM-2644]
Hole callout text in AM_HOLECALLOUT respects AMSYMSCALE value, ensuring consistent annotation scaling. [AM-5473]
The 'All around' symbol in AM_FEATURECONTROLFRAME aligns correctly with the leader when AMSYMSCALE is not set to 1. [AM-5642]
Dimensions:
Fit tolerances are correctly updated after using AM_DIMSTRETCH to stretch geometry. [AM-5560]
AM_POWERDIMENSION (and related Power Dimensioning Commands) now properly ignore the case of DIMASSOC = 0 and don't explode created dimensions. [AM-5566]
Fixed an issue of dimension text being cleared after enabling Fit/Tolerance. [AM-5592]
Horizontal power dimensions are now properly processed by CONVERTCONSTRAINT, avoiding conversion to vertical constraints with zero value. [AM-5608]
Right-clicking on 'Apply To' in the Reuse Contextual Ribbon functions correctly. [AM-5624]
Translations for AM_DIMINSERT, AM_DIMALIGN, and AM_DIMJOIN prompts have been corrected, ensuring accurate command guidance for users. [AM-5655]
Miscellaneous:
Resolved an issue in Mechanical Layer Manager where selecting multiple layers to change Line Color would clear the selection. [AM-5665]
The hole count in AM_HOLETABLE was incorrect when using 'count holes' in callouts. This issue was resolved, ensuring accurate hole counts in your tables. [AM-5646]
The 'amstandardiso' template in PAGELAYOUT had an incorrect default paper size, which has been corrected to ensure accurate printing configurations. [AM-5579]
AM_INQUIRE command provides more accurate results in constraint mode. [AM-5611]
