Build No. 27.0.1.1137 (SP0) - Release 13/04/2026

Below you can find the main fixes and new improvements on ARES Mechanical 2027 SP0:

  1. AMFITSLIST Command:

    • Manually tracking and documenting fit tolerances across multiple dimensions can be time-consuming.

    • ARES Mechanical 2027 gives users an automatic way to extract, organize, and maintain fit data directly from the drawing.

    • The new AMFITSLIST command generates a Fits List table from fit dimensions present in the drawing, then inserts it at a user-defined location.

    • The table can be updated or reordered when dimensions change, ensuring the fit data always stays synchronized with the drawing.

  1. Dimension Overdrawn Functionality:

    • A Dimension Overdrawn dialog box now appears when a newly placed linear dimension overlaps an existing one.

    • It enables users to resolve overlaps during dimension creation without deleting and recreating dimensions manually.

    • Using the new dialog, users can replace, break up, or move dimensions, automatically arranging them into chain or baseline layouts while preserving existing dimension properties.

  1. Power Dimensioning Dialog Box:

    • The new Power Dimensioning Dialog Box in ARES Mechanical 2027 can be used instead of the contextual ribbon when creating or editing dimensions, giving users more choice in workflows.

    • Controlled by the AMPOWERDIMEDITOR system variable, this optional dialog provides a centralized, tab-based interface for editing dimension text, representation, units, fit & tolerance, inspection data, and geometry settings.

  1. Enhancements:

    • AM_CENCRPLATE: Improved selection to support multiple entities forming a closed contour, with clearer validation for invalid or multiple contour selections.

    • AM_WELDINGSYMBOL: Size value can now be confirmed with Enter when using the default input, avoiding invalid input errors.

    • AM_INERTIAPROFEDIT: Default values can now be accepted with Enter without triggering invalid input errors.

    • AM_POWERDIMENSION: Text override now correctly resets after UNDO when using Edit Dim Text, ensuring consistency with properties and displayed values.

    • AM_JOINDIMENSION: Linear dimensions now retain associativity with entities after join.

    • AM_SECTIONLINEEDIT: Settings dialog no longer causes errors and preview now correctly reflects changes for non-ANSI/ISO standards.

    • Mechanical Toolbars: Updated toolbar names for consistency, including Mechanical Centerlines, Mechanical Construction Lines, and Mechanical Dimension Tools.

    • Mechanical Toolbars: Mechanical toolbar is now split into Mechanical Content and Mechanical Annotate for better organization and accessibility.
