Licensing - Change of License Server

The Network Licenses are machine specific: In order to activate the License in the FNLM - FlexNetwork License Manager application, you need to provide the Ethernet ID of the device that will host the License Manager application (see https://help.graebert.com/en/articles/3619377-flex-network-license-manager-fnlm-windows-only-latest-setups), and the license is permanently associated with the device.

Saying this, there are scenarios when it may be required either reactivate the license server:

If the device undergoes a major OS Update or hardware changes, these changes can impact the Licensing process and require the reactivation. In the same way, if you need to change the server, you will need to request that the Technical Support Team resets the Licensing information in order to allow the activation/use of a different License Server.

If updating the License Manager version,
- (In FNLM/the License Manager), Stop the Licensing Service.
- Delete the License previously used.
- Contact the Graebert Support Team, providing the Permission Key of your product. You will need to sign and send an User Declaration ( User Declaration for Reinstallation and Activation of Graebert Software found here: https://files.graebert.com/Files_used_in_OEMCenter/Graebert_User_Declaration_2018_03_07.pdf): The Support Team will reset the activation.
- (As per the process in the article above) Get the Ethernet ID of the device.
- Login to the Graebert Customer Portal, insert the Ethernet ID, and download the License.
- Import the License to the FNLM License Manager, and start the Licensing Service.

If changing the device used as License Server,
- Contact the Graebert Support Team, providing the Permission Key of your product.
