The older SiteMaster 4.0, 4.1 and 5.0 versions have an activation problem under the newer Windows 64 bit operation systems, because they are created for Windows XP 32-bit. The activation code is not saved in the Windows registry file properly and it gets lost after restarting the program.

To resolve this issue you have to change the compatibility property settings in the SiteMaster shortcut to "XP Service Pack 3" before the activation. You can do this via mouse-right click on the shortcut and selecting the properties tab. The required settings are described in the attached image "Win7_XP_Compatiblilty_Shortcut.png".

Important Note for Windows 8.1 64-Bit Installations:

Under Windows 8.1 there are problems with the linetype selection dialog on our PowerCAD Pro 7 based application, when you use "XP Service Pack 3" as compatibily mode. When you use the linetype option in the LAYER or PROPEDIT dialog, the program freezes and you can't leave the linetype dialog again. So please disable the compatibility checkbox in the program shortcut settings under Windows 8.1 after the activation process or use as highest mode "Windows 7" in the compatibility mode setting.
