How to measure a window with points.

Step 1: Select Window.

Step 2: Now measure all the points shown in yellow in the diagram one after the other. As soon as a yellow point has been measured, it turns green.

Point 1: Window reveal left
(Points 1 and 2 add up to the entire window width!)

Point 2: Window reveal right
(Points 1 and 2 add up to the entire window width!)

Point 3: Window reveal top
(Points 3 and 4 add up to the entire window height!)

Point 4: Windowsill top edge
(Points 3 and 4 add up to the entire window height!)

Point 5: On windowframe
(Point 5 define the window reveal depth!)

Point 6: On window casement - bottom left corner
(Points 6 and 7 add up to the window casement width and window casement height, as well as the distiance of the hinge!)

Point 7: On window casement - top right corner
(Points 6 and 7 add up to the window casement width and window casement height, as well as the distiance of the hinge!)

Note: For a 2- or 3-casement window, only the first left casement needs to be measured, the other casements are calculated by the system.

Point 8: On window handle
(Point 8 define the window handle depth and also the window opening direction!)

Optional: Add windowsill. Skip step 3 if you want to add the windowsill.

Step 3: When all points are green, click the green checkmark to confirm ✅.

Windowsill

Step 1: Optional - activate and measure the windowsill.

Note: The windowsill option must first be activated before it can be measured. To activate it, click on the Sill tab and check the Has sill box.

The fields are now editable and can be measured.

Step 2: If the windowsill is activated, now measure all the points shown in yellow in the diagram one after the other. Here too, the yellow point turns green as soon as it has been measured.

Point 1: Windowsill outer edge left
(Point 1 is the left overhang of the windowsill!)

Point 2: Windowsill outer edge right
(Point 2 is the right overhang of the windowsill!)

Point 3: Windowsill bottom edge - lower edge
(Point 3 define the windowsill thickness and lower edge!)

Point 4: Windowsill front edge
(Point 4 is the front overhang of the windowsill into the room!)

Step 3: When all points are green, click the green checkmark to confirm ✅.
