If the trial mode doesn't work or the activation gets lost after a restart of your computer, you haven't activated in the Windows compatibility mode with Administrator right.

First you open the Windows Explorer from the Windows Start Menu under All Programs->Accessories. Then you go to the executable exe file (e.g. PowerCADPro7.exe) and press the right mouse button to change the compatibility properties.

The attached image shows the compatibility settings you have to change. Now you press the Apply and then the OK button and run the exe file via double click for the product activation. When the activation process is done, you can run it from the Windows desktop or start menu icon.

If the application is already registered without the XP compatibility settings and Run as Administrator mode, the start up dialog for activation comes up again, when you change its property settings.

For the activation you need a valid 16 digits hexadecimal product key shipped with your license. Out of the product key and your hardware a device ID is calculated and sent to us via Internet or email activation with your user data. From these two values your activation code is calculated for the activation of the full version.

Notes on Activation:
Activation via the internet does not work anymore. Please send the registration data or the reg.txt file to [email protected].

The entire activation process for SiteMaster Building 5.0 is described here.

Important Note for Windows 8.1 64-Bit Installations:

Under Windows 8.1 there are problems with the linetype selection dialog on our PowerCAD Pro 7 based application, when you use "XP Service Pack 3" as compatibily mode. When you use the linetype option in the LAYER or PROPEDIT dialog, the program freezes and you can't leave the linetype dialog again. So please disable the compatibility checkbox in the program shortcut settings under Windows 8.1 after the activation process or use as highest mode "Windows 7" in the compatibility mode setting.
