Overview

The Pages Wizard now allows you to create new pages or page groups by copying properties from existing ones. This enhancement streamlines the workflow, especially when starting a new project that requires several similar configurations.

Previously, users could create, edit, or delete pages and page groups in the Page Groups... command, but they could not duplicate configurations. As a result, creating multiple pages with similar settings was time-consuming.

Where to Find the Command

You can access this feature under:
Manage tab > Settings > Page Groups...

Creating New Pages or Page Groups with Copy

When creating a new page or group:

  1. Open the Page Groups... command.

  2. Select the option to create a New Page or New Page Group.

  3. In the Page Settings Wizard, choose one of the following:

    • Using default values – creates a new page/group with standard settings.

    • Copying properties from – duplicates properties from an existing page or group to accelerate setup.

Benefits

  • Faster page creation when starting new projects.

  • Consistency across groups and pages by reusing proven configurations.

  • Reduced manual work and fewer repetitive steps.

  • Enhanced workflow efficiency for users who often manage large sets of drawings.

Example Scenario

An engineer needs to create several schematic pages with identical settings (e.g., size, title block, and formatting). Instead of configuring each page manually, they can now copy the properties from one existing schematic page and apply them directly to the new ones.
