Please note that a FLEX license requires the installation of a license manager application on your network (You will later receive instructions on the topic at the time of your purchase).

The license manager will require to be installed under Microsoft Window seven if it can manage ARES Commander client users under Windows, MacOS X and Linux.

*NB: Before we can proceed to the delivery we will need to know your preferences. Please check and clarify the following parameters:*

1.*Number of simultaneous clients: 1*
You ordered a FLEX license for 1 simultaneous user(s). This means that the license can be shared among an unlimited number of people connected to
the license server on the same network and location but never more than 1 at a time.

2.*Timeout: PLEASE SPECIFY *
The timeout is the duration in seconds before a license returns to the server when no activity is detected. The value should be between 0 and 3600 seconds. The default value is 3600 seconds. The goal of this parameter is to avoid that the license stays unused while other users may need it.

3.*Max. Roaming Days: PLEASE SPECIFY *
Max. roaming days defines the maximum number of days a user can take away a license from the network. The value should be between 0 and 365 days. The default value is 365 days. When a license is taken away the user will monopolize one simultaneous client until he returns it to the server. This is a flexibility for the user to work out of the network but you may like to define a limit to avoid a shortage of rights for the rest of your team.

4.*Max. Roaming Count: PLEASE SPECIFY *
Max. roaming count can help you define how many simultaneous clients can be taken away. This number should be between 0 and the total number of simultaneous clients you have. The default value is the same number as the number of simultaneous clients. You may for example order a FLEX license with 10 simultaneous clients and define a maximum of 2 of them can betaken away to make sure at least 8 of them will remain on the network. You may define 0 if you want to disallow the possibility to take away licenses at all.

*Note:*
These are parameters that need to be defined before generating the FLEXlicense and that cannot be modified after. Please review them carefully. Some additional configurations are possible from the License Server administration tool you will install on your network(please refer to the license manager documentation). You may for example define yourself white or black lists. Please contact [email protected]if you need assistance to define such advanced parameters.
