Download the latest ARES Flex Network License Manager (download link below). The ARES Flex Network License Manager 2025 is required to be used for all licenses activated after March 2023. Older NLM versions will not show all product version entries anymore!
The support for NLM 2024 will be phased out.
The latest network license server (FNLM) installation file could be downloaded here.
Please note that the above FNLM version doesn't work on virtual machines! Terminal Server setups are also not supported.
For virtual machines please download the following zipped archive. It includes a READ_ME_FIRST.txt and a user declaration. Please fulfill this user declaration and return it to [email protected] before you install the MSI-software package.
Installation Notes
If you use already an older NLM version, first stop the licensing service and press Unregister.
Uninstall the old NLM via the Windows Control Panel-->Add/Remove Programs.
Install the new ARES Flex Network License Manager 2025.
Reactivate all your FLEX Network license via the Customer Portal under the Organization/Admin Space --> Products
Download the new .netlic file and import it to NLM and Register and start the Licensing Service (ARES-FNLM).
Notes regarding Reprise WEB UI
It is off by default under Edit-->Options...
After enabling this option you need to Unregister and then Register the service again,
Password Reset is mandatory! - Default user name admin and PWD: rlm
The Reprise WEB user interface is only displayed in the browser. On the Advanced Administration-tab in ARES Flex Network License Manager 2024 you can click the Open Browser button to open this view in your browser.

Note: The ARES Flex NLM 2025 can be used with all previous ARES Commander applications (such as ARES Commander 2024, 2023, 2022, ..)

To activate or add a Network permission key to our in our Customer Portal you need an account and organization.
You create it under Organization-->Products.
3. Activate and import the Network-license-file (.netlic) into the FNLM. Please open in the FNLM pulldown Menu "Licenses-->Request License..." and follow the instruction on the dialog.
4. Now you have to start the FNLM Licensing Service. When it is running, the program icon switches to the color green and see at the bottom the text "Service is running.".
5. When your FNLM is running (green icon) and there are no errors in the log (right tab), then you connect your ARES Commander Clients to the FNLM. You start the ARES Commander application and via the gear button at the top right of the start dialog you open the Advanced Settings for the License Server. When you have entered the FNLM Server IP address and the Port, then you press the Add-button and close this dialog with OK.
Now the word FLEX should appear at the right top of the start dialog and you are connected to your network license manager and you got also a valid license.
Note: Additional you can also login with your Customer Portal credential now, to get connected to your cloud services and to ARES Kudo (if this permission is assigned to your account).
