When inserting multiple wires, such as Wire Groups, ARES Electrical now provides a new option that allows users to reverse (flip) the wire order during the insertion process in the graphics area.

This enhancement gives you more flexibility when drawing wires, especially in projects where phase order needs to be adjusted according to schematic or project rules.

How it works

  • While inserting a Wire Group, you can apply the Reverse/Flip option to immediately invert the order of the wires.

  • You can also define a new spacing at each point of the wire path. This means the spacing does not need to remain fixed for the entire route.

How to Use

  • During the wire insertion process, verify that the following shortcut options are available:

    • Flip (F): reverses the wire order.

    • Spacing (S): lets you redefine the spacing between wires at each new point.

  • Simply press the corresponding key while placing the Wire Group to apply the option instantly.

Example

  • You may insert multiple wires closely spaced together at the start of the route.

  • Later in the path, you can increase the spacing between the wires, depending on project requirements or schematic layout needs.

This option ensures that wire insertion is more flexible and efficient, adapting to the design rules and the physical layout constraints of your electrical project.
