ALIAS Commands are not loaded in ARES Commander 2027 SP0 after Migration.

ARES Commander 2027, Service Pack 0, 27.0.1.1128, ALIAS Commands, ALIAS, Unrecognized command

Written by Christian Kramer

ARES Commander 2027 SP0 contains a bug regarding the migration of the ALIAS command file. Command shortcuts and certain command names are displayed as "Unrecognized command XXX. Press F1 for help."

Note: If you cancel the migration dialog then you get "Factory Settings" and the issue doesn't occur.

To resolve this issue:
You can invoke the MIGRATION command by typing it into the command window within ARES Commander 2027. Then, upon restarting ARES Commander, you must disable the aliases within the Migration dialog.

Please refer to the image below:

Alternative Option:
You can also close ARES Commander 2027 first, and then navigate to the folder: c:\Users\[current user]\AppData\Roaming\ARES Commander Edition x64\27.0.1128\Alias\english\

and replace the "alias.xml" file with "alias.bak". Afterward, all ALIAS commands will function correctly again.

This issue has already been resolved and will be fixed in ARES Commander 2027 Service Pack 1, which is scheduled for release in July, 2026.
