As you may know, ARES Electrical allow us to generate many types of reports and lists. These reports will be written based on all info you added to the project during the development phase. That’s why it’s so important to keep consistency information through each step of development. In this article, you will see more details about how to create a list of terminals.

📖INFO: There are several types of reports that can be generated by ARES Electrical: labels, cables, terminals and wires.

By default, AE works with three types of terminal lists that can be generated in the project.

Which are the list of terminals styles?

List of Terminals: table

This report will inform the type of terminal used, which will tell us the strip identification and terminal number, as well as indicate the components linked to the terminals. In this case, AE informs the name/terminal of the component and it’s position.

Terminal Strip: table

The terminal strip table gives you the strip identification and terminal number in a more visual way, and also indicates the components linked to the terminals.

Terminal Strip: Drawing

Through the terminal strip you will see the strip name designator, terminal number and manufacturer, page on which the terminal is inserted and external component representation.

How to generate these three styles?

Generate list of terminals…

  1. Go to Reports Tab> Terminal Strips: table...;

  2. Select the template file IEC - TERMINALS-BORNES.GRT;

  3. Click "Open".

Notice that a new page group called “TERMINALS REPORT” was created at the pages palette. By clicking twice at the page group or page, the list will be displayed.

⚠️WARNING: The list may not display some terminals input or output components. Check if the input/output wires are all numbered.

Generate Terminal strip: Grid…
