Let's see how to create a new block from the page group, creating the page frame block from scratch.

More Info

We're using the image below as reference in our example:

Create a page block...

  1. Go to Manage Tab;

  2. Click Page groups...

  3. Select Create a new Page> Next;

  4. In this step user should define:
    Page name;
    Page Type;
    Description property;
    Automatic labels;
    Column label;
    Column width;
    Line label;
    Line Height.

  5. Define settings as below:

  6. Now user need to define the 5 blocks that compound the page. Select the Sheet format> Create

  7. Draw the lines, columns, and the sheet limits;

  8. When finished, click OK;

  9. Click Next, then finish to close the Page settings wizard.

  10. If you need to edit or create other Page blocks, you can select them and edit using the same procedure.

📖INFO: Each user has its own custom sheet, in this step we should draw the desired format using the CAD resources like lines, polilines, circles, text and others. You can also follow the example drawing found in "More Info" above for practice.

⚠️WARNING:

  • Regarding the insertion point, before creating the block, is very important that the entities stay in the correct insertion point, in other words, the point must be in the beginning of the page columns and at the end of the lines reference.

  • Regarding the layers, every time a block is created, it's entities must be in layer 0. To verify this, enable the Properties palette. If they're not, you MUST change them to layer 0.
