ARES Electrical, Properties, Library properites, attributes.

Some properties used in ARES Electrical are set by default, this means they have specific function. Below you can find a list with the different available components properties, a brief description and where they may be used on:

TAG

Component name (mandatory property - the exception is connectors, wire and cables).

Components in general

CONNECTION<Counter>

Sample: CONNECTION1

Attribute responsible for representing the component terminal on electrical diagrams;

Counter = Sequential number according the terminal quantity.

Components in general

STRIP

Strip name (mandatory property for Terminals).

Terminal strips

NUMBER

Terminal number (mandatory property for Terminals).

JUMPER

Attribute responsible for representing which terminals will be connected at a terminal strip report list.

INVERTIDO

Invert the connections for a terminal in the terminal report.

FUNCTION<Counter>

Sample: FUNCTION1

Attribute responsible for label lines info of the door components displayed in mechanical layout;

Counter = Sequential number according the terminal quantity.

POSITION_CTT

Attribute will be fill automatic by the application with contact's parent position.

Contacts / Cross reference

POS_INS<Contact Numbers>

Sample: POS_INS13,14

Attribute to display the position of specific contact, the "contact numbers" will define which contact.

Wire name (mandatory).

Cable name (mandatory).

DISTANCE

Responsible for display the width of the component in its layout representation, from the insertion point to the most extreme point of the component.

CPOINT<Counter>

Attribute responsible for representing the component connection point on electrical layout diagrams;

Counter = Sequential number according the terminal quantity.

⚠️WARNING: Attributes must always be written in upper case.
