Before inserting components and wires to your project, it’s necessary to understand how is the workspace structure. This will be helpful when creating connections between different pages and identifying where a component’s connections are located by simply looking at its main part for instance.

Quadrants

The workspace format in ARES Electrical is customizable, and initially organized into quadrants. Columns are numbered from 1 to 9, and lines are displayed from A to F, making it easy to locate any item in the workspace. For instance, if the part is in the upper left corner of the worksheet, its position would be A1.

Worksheet References

Throughout your project, you may create different references. Particularly useful, if you have a large number of different components, these references enable you to instantly find specific information. If you have a 50-page project, for instance, and are looking at a contactor coil, you can easily locate the contactor’s other connections and more information using the previously mentioned quadrant positions.
